  13. I am trying to talk to a Courier modem hooked to a Sun (4.1.3) using cu 
  14. or tip. I know the modem works because we dial into it regularly, and I 
  15. know I once talked to it from the Sun end because I set it up! 
  16. Unfortunately I simply can't remember how to get it to respond.

  18. I have an entry in /etc/uucp/Devices which looks like:

  20.     Direct cua0 - 9600 direct
  21.  
  22. I have cua0 created with 
  23.  
  24.     mknod cua0 c 12 128 
  25.  
  26. and all the ttytab and gettytab settings are as you would expect. Using 
  27. cu (or tip) results in a "Connected" message then the thing simply hangs.

  29. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?
